Hello! I'm Tara. I specialize in live entertainment planning with an emphasis on tours, festivals, and live music.
I am the biggest music lover you will ever meet and have a passion for bringing people together to have the best night of their life!
In 2020 I received my bachelor’s degree in communication with a minor in professional writing from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC).
Currently, I spend time coordinating private events and traveling around to assist with festivals.
I also spend time working with the Northern Illinois rock band, Blind Panik, as their assistant, social media manager, and marketing consultant.
Throughout my young experience in the entertainment industry, I have booked a variety of talent to perform at UIC's signature events and led artist hospitality and VIP services. Past talents include: 21 Savage, Cuco, H.E.R., Rich The Kid, Nick Jonas, Femdot, DRAM, David Dobrik, and Shea Coulee. (2016-2020)
While working in artist relations, I also spent four years working for UIC's largest event programming organization --- the Student Activities Board (SAB). Starting out as a general event planner and later being promoted as the Main-Stage Coordinator, these positions held me responsible for curating and managing large-scale events on campus. (2016-2020)
To further dive into my passion for music, I spent four years with UIC Radio working as their executive brand director and an on-air personality. I hosted a live show every week called PopTara! where I used my platform to highlight and promote up-and-coming and underrated artists from all sub-generes of pop music.
At UIC Radio, I worked with tour managers and agencies to receive press credentials to publish promotional pieces and reviews. I spent time creating ticket give-away opportunities, production agendas, and marketing strategies while simultaneously managing UIC Radio's social media accounts and website. (2016-2020)
My experience in events and live music later led to me being part of C3 Presents' seasonal credentials department for Lollapalooza (2021) and Goldenvoice's seasonal credentials and box office department for Coachella and Stagecoach music festivals (2022-present).
I have received training and been invited to workshops with the Creative Artists Agency (CAA) at their selective Hubb Conference (Nashville, 2019), with the Grammy Recording Academy through the GrammyU Chapter (Chicago, 2018-present), and with the College Broadcasters Incorporation's National Student Electronic Media Convention (St.Louis, 2019). Some of these workshops have contained mentorships, soundcheck walk-throughs and interviews with artists and their touring teams such as: Jaden Smith, BTS, Hozier, Troye Sivan, LANY, Little Big Town, and Lollapalooza's producers and creators.
For consultations or assistance with tours, events, or social media, feel free to contact me. I am open to relocation or remote work.
