DJ Battle / Operation Glow 2019

Operation Glow + DJ Battle: October 18 2019. 10:00 PM @ The Mac Gym

Operation Glow is a neon paint rave / live DJ battle presented by UIC Radio & SAB. Winner of DJ Battle gets a spot on Spark 2020’s lineup.

Estimated Attendance: 175 people 

My role for this event was serving as the committee chair and managing the planning committee 

Duties included: 

- Reserving the room for the event

- Booking the Operation Glow vendor & securing contract 

- Booking security 

- Creating application process for DJs to apply 

- Compiling audio & tech needs from DJs

- Booking 3 judges with experience in music / DJing

- Creating fair scoring rubric for judges 

- Compiling rules & guidelines for DJs 

- Strategic marketing campaigns (online & on campus) to encourage DJs to apply & to get students to attend the event

- Managing ticketing systems at the event 

- Creating an "Instagram Area"

- Booking an Emcee 

- Creating a production agenda 

- Managing budget sheet 

- Creating layout for the event
