Open Mic Night 2020

Open Mic Night: February 13 2020. 7:00 PM @ East Terrace. Chicago, IL.

Open Mic Night is open to all UIC students who would like to perform acoustic sets, spoken word, poetry, and more. Students who do not wish to perform are welcomed to watch and support their peers. 

Estimated Attendance: 60 people 

My role for Open Mic Night was serving as the committee chair and delegating work to the rest of the planning committee.

Duties included: 

- Reserving the room 

- Securing audio and tech needs

- Strategic marketing to promote event 

- Managing staff day of the event 

- Booking catering 

- Creating an aesthetic environment for the event (decor, lighting, etc.) 

- Managing set-up & take-down of event
