Spark 2019 with 21 Savage & Cuco

Spark: September 14 2019. 5:00 PM @ Harrison Field. Chicago, IL

Spark is UIC’s exclusive outdoor concert to kick off the Fall Semester. Spark is open to UIC students, faculty, staff, and alumni. The concert offers an eclectic mix of entertainment for UIC’s diverse campus community. Spark 2019 lineup: DJ Cease Days, Skylight Cinema, Cuco, 21 Savage

Estimated Attendance: 6,500 people

My role for Spark 2019 was leading the Spark Executive Board as the Artist Relations Chair & Assisting with the Production Team 

My duties included:

- Contacting agencies for availability and quotes for talent 

- Selecting a lineup that best fits the diversity of UIC's student body

- Booking 21 Savage & Cuco, tracking proposal and contracts 

- Fulfilling talent's rider needs

- Arranging chauffeur service for the talent to and from the airport, hotel, and festival 

- Maintaining budget sheets

- Creating production agenda / day of itinerary 

- Greeting talent & team day of the festival

- Artist hospitality / assisting talent & team backstage throughout the festival

- Renting private trailers for talent & their team 

- Managing meet & greet experience 

- Creating VIP experience for attendees (private area with soft seating, mobile charging stations, exclusive dessert bar, limited merch, specialized photo booth, private restrooms) 

- Creating VIP ticket give-away opportunities

- Communicating rules, guidelines, and set times to performers 

- Managing the rest of the artist relations staff day of the event 

- Assisting the Production Team, help with booking vendors, mapping the layout, securing AV needs, setting up barricades 

- Creating safety and emergency plans. Meeting with local security, police, and fire department to guarantee the event is safe and secure for all guests, talent, and staff
