Sparky's Drag Race with Shea Coulee 2019

Sparky's Drag Race was UIC first ever drag show. Student's got to show off their best drag while also showing support to the LGBTQ+ community. Students also competed to be crowned UIC's top drag super star. Shea Coulee from season 9 of RuPaul's Drag Race hosted the night. This was also SAB's first LGBTQ+ event.

My role for Sparky's Drag Race was serving as the event lead.

Duties included:

- Booking Shea Coulee

- Arranging chauffeur service for Shea Coulee & team to and from hotel and venue

- Artist hospitality / rider fulfillment

- Securing contract with Shea Coulee

- Strategic marketing to promote event

- Creating production agenda for the event

- Maintaining budget sheets

- Managing M&G with students and Shea Coulee

- Communicating rules and guidelines to student performers
